Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the purposes for which it may be used, and the situations in which outside services may receive it. By using Clark County Criminal History, you agree to these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or place entered in a search tool goes to the outside company that provides that tool. We do not keep a separate log of those terms. The provider processes the query and supplies its results under its own practices.

Messages and Contact Submissions

If you email us, the message may be retained long enough to respond and keep the related correspondence. It is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Standard server and analytics records may capture technical details when a page loads:

  • Your device’s IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Operating system and device category
  • Pages viewed and time spent
  • A referring website, when available
  • The date and time of each request

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files used to understand site traffic and performance. Analytics tools combine visit data to show popular pages, navigation paths, and technical problems. A browser can refuse cookies, though some functions may then work differently.

What We Do With This Data

  • Operate and maintain the website
  • Route a query to the selected search partner
  • Measure which content visitors use
  • Diagnose security and technical failures
  • Display advertising that may reflect general interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

We do not maintain or sell a database of individual criminal records. The site publishes general routing information for Clark County police agencies, court clerks, detention systems, the Nevada Department of Public Safety Central Repository, and the Nevada Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not compiled into reports about other people, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies power the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by the provider’s privacy policy, retention schedule, and sharing rules. We do not direct those practices. Review the provider’s terms before submitting a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Clark County offices, Nevada agencies, courts, legal resources, advertisers, or search services. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Some advertising services may also measure activity across different sites on systems they control.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be handled by:

  • Search providers that process a query
  • Analytics companies that measure traffic
  • Advertising networks that serve ads
  • Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal demand

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for the information in our control. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.

Users Under 18

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be removed when required.

Your Data Rights

Nevada’s consumer privacy framework, including NRS Chapter 603A, may provide rights based on the data, business, and request involved. Subject to applicable limits, you may ask to:

  • Review personal information held about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete qualifying personal data
  • Opt out of covered processing or sale where the law applies

Updates to This Policy

This policy may change as practices or legal duties change. A revised version will appear here with its new date.
